Kelly Budruweit is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa, as well as an adjunct faculty lecturer at Kirkwood Community College. She teaches literature and composition. Both her teaching and her research draw inspiration from active constructions of (literary) value.
Her scholarly interests include transnational literature, fantasy (broadly defined), and affirmative values. Her dissertation examines how fantasy literature reflects postcritical and reconstructive shifts with the potential to re-enchant literary value. She has also published work on Stephenie Meyer, Robert Coover, and Marion Zimmer Bradley (forthcoming).
