Thomas Humphrey is a writer and journalist from Ocala, Florida. He earned BAs in classics and history at Washington University in St. Louis before becoming a staff writer at the Vineyard Gazette. His work was recognized for three consecutive years by the New England Newspaper and Press Association, including first-place awards for History and Obituary writing in 2025. 

Current research interests include religious visionaries on the early U.S. Northwestern frontier, the biology of parasitic worms, and Islam in West Africa.
