Biography

Ivo Ivanoff is an English Ph.D. candidate and General Education Literature (GEL) instructor at the University of Iowa, where he studies Victorian and British modernist fiction, with additional concentrations in narrative and the self. His dissertation attends to the narrative construction of coherence in self-representations in the Victorian novel. 

Before joining the University of Iowa’s English Department, Ivo earned a B. A. in English and a B. A. in German at The Ohio State University. He has taught courses in The Foundations of the English major and Introduction to Rhetoric (College Composition). Currently Ivo teaches The Interpretation of Literature and serves as a tutor at the Writing Center at The University of Iowa.
