Kerry Howley published an essay about leaker Reality Winner in New York Magazine and was featured on the Today show on December 22, 2017

Kerry Howley, Assistant Professor in the Nonfiction Writing Program, wrote about former NSA contractor and leaker Reality Winner in an essay for New York Magazine. The piece, “The World’s Biggest Terrorist Has a Pikachu Bedspread,” gives a detailed, nuanced portrait of the controversial whistle-blower. Howley was able to interview Winner for a short time in the Georgia jail housing her, before a guard caught on and abruptly ended their conversation.
