Third year MFA student Aaron Pang (NWP 2024) will present his conversation performance "Herein Lies the Truth: A Work in Progress Conversation" on Thursday, October 12 at the Hancher's Infinite Dream Festival. Nonfiction Writing Program professor Tisa Bryant will join him in conversation at the event, which begins at 5pm in the Stanley Museum of Art lobby on the University of Iowa campus. The performance is free and open to the public.

The Hancher listing says: "Writer/performer Aaron Pang is an MFA candidate in the University of Iowa’s Nonfiction Writing Program. His in-development thesis, Herein Lies the Truth, traverses a range of disciplines: creative nonfiction, stand-up comedy, and theatre arts. The work also reckons with complex questions about disability, race, and sexuality. The conversation will include a short presentation of work-in-progress as well as a conversation with faculty members from Pang’s thesis committee—Christopher-Rasheem McMillan (Dance, Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality Studies) and Tisa Bryant (Nonfiction Writing Program)—and producing artistic director Adam Knight of Riverside Theatre where the final work will premiere in April 2024."
