Taylor Cowdery will deliver a presentation on "Middlebrow Style and Social Identity in the Canterbury Tales?" Cowdery is Associate Professor at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and the author of Matter and Making in Early English Poetry: Literary Production from Chaucer to Sidney (2023, Cambridge UP). This presentation stems from Professor Cowdery's current book-in-progress, The Middle Classes of Medieval London: A Literary History.
