Biography

Tove Conway is a PhD candidate in the English Department at the University of Iowa. Her scholarship focuses on the role of women in modernist culture and explores representations of the natural world in literature and visual art. Her scholarly work on modernism, visual culture, and ecocriticism has appeared in journals such as Interdisciplinary Literary Studies and the Iowa Journal of Cultural Studies.

Before coming to the University of Iowa, Tove earned an M.A. in English and a B.A. in English and Environmental Studies from the University of St. Thomas. Tove currently serves as a Rhetoric instructor at the University of Iowa, where she designs and instructs courses related to contemporary fiction, art, media, and the environment.
