Biography

Kim Maher earned an MFA in Book Arts from the University of Iowa Center for the Book where she studied the history of the book, artists books, letterpress printing, and design. She is currently the Emerging Voices Coordinator for the International Writing Program. Prior to joining the IWP, she worked as an Instructional Services Specialist for nearly a decade at the UI School of Art, Art History, and Design. She is an educator, freelance designer, and visual artist with a particular fondness for pop-up and movable book structures. Her work has been exhibited and collected throughout the U.S. and abroad.
