Some exciting news! NWP alumni Douglas Hesse (MA 1980, PhD 1986) and Laura Julier (PhD 1988) have put together a new book both celebrating nonfiction and honoring esteemed professor, and long-time chair of the University of Iowa's English Department, Richard Lloyd-Jones.
Edited by Hesse and Julier and available through the University Press of Colorado, Nonfiction, the Teaching of Writing, and the Influence of Richard Lloyd-Jones explores the growth of creative nonfiction—and the teaching of it—over the past half century.
It features numerous essays by nonfiction practitioners and NWP alumni, including John T. Price, Rachel Faldet, and Tom Montgomery Fate. Also notable are pieces by former NWP director David Hamilton, and the founder of the NWP himself, Carl Klaus.
