Allana Lopez is a first-year Ph.D. student in the English department, where she is interested in studying gender and sexuality in late 19th-century Victorian novels, Decadence, Aestheticism, and digital humanities.

Before coming to the University of Iowa, Allana earned her B.A. at the University of Texas at Austin, after which she taught ESL in Italy and Thailand.
