NWP Publishing Project Attracts Local Press
Subject to Change, the anthology of Iowa high school writing put together by undergraduates in the University of Iowa's Publishing II courses, has drawn attention from local publications The Gazette and the Iowa City Press-Citizen. Recent Nonfiction Writing Program graduates Julia Conrad and Bryn Lovitt led the semester-long publishing project, guiding their undergraduate classes through curating, editing, and publishing the anthology. The publication was celebrated in an online release party May 14th, featuring readings by some of the high school writers and the undergraduate editors who championed their work. Run by the NWP, this annual publishing project, in its second year as an anthology of Iowa high school writing, has received much university-wide and community support.
