PVW Reading: Caroline Froh and Darius Stewart
The University of Iowa's English Department is pleased to present a reading with Provost's Postgraduate Visiting Writers Darius Stewart and Caroline Froh.
Darius Stewart is a graduate of Iowa’s MFA in Nonfiction Writing Program and holds an MFA in poetry from the Michener Center for Writers. He has been a visiting writer at East Tennessee State University, Lincoln Memorial University, and Tusculum College. His poetry and essays appear or are forthcoming in Callaloo, Cimarron Review, Fourth Genre, Gargoyle, Salamander, storySouth, Verse Daily and others. In April, he will receive the inaugural East Tennessee Writers Hall of Fame Emerging Writer Award.
Caroline Froh translates from German, with a fondness for Swiss-German prose. She received an MFA in Literary Translation from the University of Iowa, where she is currently one of the Provost's Postgraduate Visiting Writers. A 2019 ALTA Travel Fellow, she is also the recipient of a Stanley Award. She is currently working on a novel by Jenisch-Swiss writer Mariella Mehr.
