English@Work: Writing, the MFA, and Academia

Jerald Walker is an author of The World in Flames: A Black Boyhood in a White Supremacist Doomsday Cult, and other books and articles. Now the director of Creative Writing at Emerson College, he came to the University of Iowa as a high school dropout, and will talk to us about how he (and you) might decide if staying in college forever (or at least for an MFA) is right for you.

All undergraduate AND graduate students are invited to these presentations! Come learn about jobs inside and outside academia from people who have turned their English degree into a first step in a fascinating career.
