Research Interests

Late 19th and Early 20th Century American Literature, Religion & Literature, Post-Secular Theory.

I am currently a doctoral student in English, with a BA from Seattle Pacific University. My current research interests explore the connections between secularization, anti-modernism, progressivism, and mysticism/Gnosticism in American literature. At Iowa, I have worked as a teaching assistant for Introduction to the English Major (2013-2014), and am currently an instructor in the Rhetoric Department. Previous to Iowa, I taught at a gymnasium (a preparatory secondary school) in the Slovak Republic, supported by a Fulbright grant.
