Gabriela Tully Claymore is the 2022 - 2023 CLAS Visiting Writer in Nonfiction at the University of Iowa. Born and raised in San Francisco, she earned her MFA from the Nonfiction Writing Program where she was an Iowa Arts Fellow. Before moving to the Midwest, she worked as a cultural critic and editor in New York. Now, she writes about climate change, land politics, geology, and philosophies of time. She's working on her first book.
