Lecture by Andrea Noble, Durham University, UK: "Tears in Mexico: Emotions and Motivations"
Andrea Noble is Senior Lecturer in Latin American Studies at Durham University, England, where she is also affiliated with the Durham Centre for Advanced Photography. She is the author of three monographs, Photography and Memory in Mexico: Icons of Revolution (Manchester UP, 2010), Mexican National Cinema (Routledge, 2005), and Tina Modotti: Image, Texture, Photography (UNM P, 2000), as well as two co-edited books on photography and narratology.
Noble is currently on a three-year research fellowship from the British government and is residing in Mexico City, where she is affiliated with the UNAM. Her current research project is about Latin American film and photography and affect studies. Please join us in 315 PH for her lecture, "Tears in Mexico: Emotions and Motivations."
