Celine Izsak is a poet from the Sonoran Desert of Southern California with varied ties to Romania and NYC. She holds an MFA in poetry from the Iowa Writers' Workshop and a B.A. in both English Literature and American Studies from Cornell University. She has been an Iowa Arts Fellow and a Rawlings Cornell Presidential Research Scholar. Before coming to Iowa, she worked as a Program Associate at 826NYC wrangling and publishing children’s writings. She is currently composing her first collection of poetry.
