STUMPED: Trivia Night Fundraiser for the English Honors Society
ATI is excited to host the upcoming trivia night at The Vine, so I hope you consider attending! Students love to show off a bit of their literary prowess AND see their professors in a relaxed setting.
Can YOU name the novel where the line "Reader, I married him," appears in the conclusion?
Do YOU know the pen-name of novelist Mary Ann Evans (1819-80)?
Then come on out to STUMPED, a literary, pub-style trivia night at The Vine where students and faculty can test their knowledge and see who comes out on top! Last year, the quiz pitted faculty against English majors, and students won lots of prizes. Who will come out on top this year?
When: Thursday, December 3, 6:00-9:00 pm. The event is also a fundraiser for ATI (UI’s Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, International English Honors Society) to fund graduation cords and other club-related expenses. Twenty percent of food purchases from The Vine will go to ATI. Two rounds of quizzing will take place from 7:00-9:00, although you are welcome to order food and socialize from 6:00-9:00. Alcohol may not be purchased in the designated area for this event, and students under 21 must leave before 10 pm.
Where: The Vine, 330 E Prentiss St.
