Shawn Boursiquot: Admitted to University of Southern California for Writing for Film & TV

Keegan Gormally:  Admitted to University of Kansas for M.S.E. Higher Education Administration and a graduate assistant position as Hall Director on their campus.

Sara Bechtol:  Admitted to Texas State University for MFA in Creative Writing

Zoie Schares:  Full time employment as Administrative Services Coordinator, College of Education, University of Iowa

Charles Truong: Worked as an English transfer student liason, an English Department volunteer video editor, and as a research fellow with the International Writing Program. He now will work as a video technician for the Office of Strategic Communication and as a Climate Narrative Fellow for the Office of Sustainability. He is the 2017 recipient of the Center for Diversity and Enrichment's Student Leadership Award and the Outstanding Contribution to the Greater Community Award from Hawkeye Leadership and Service

January 9, 2017 English Department ambassador Steven Raines (English honors and Critical Cultural Competency Certificate) is going to work in Denver, CO at Mondoin (IT recruiting and staffing) as an Account Director in charge of outside sales.  

December 17, 2016 Samuel Feldstein, Emily Hawk and Caroline Mangum become the first students to graduate with the major English and Creative Writing

July 11, 2016  English major Katie Heffner presented at the Science Fiction Research Association conference in Liverpool, England. Her work focuses on early feminist sci fi fan communities. Read more here.
