Creative Writing Track
The Department of English is pleased to offer a selective-admission Undergraduate Creative Writing Track. The Writing Track is a multiple-genre experience that includes Fiction, Poetry, Nonfiction, Playwriting, and Translation.
The hub of the Writing Track is a cluster of intimate Writers’ Seminars that will give students the opportunity to creatively engage the relationship between reading and writing and to explore questions of craft, literary traditions, and aesthetics in a manner that is both inspiring and rigorous.
All students who will have junior or senior standing (at least 60 semester hours) and will have successfully completed the prerequisites by the end of the current term are invited to apply. The applicaton deadline is usually in the eighth week of the semester for admission in the following spring or fall semester; see the Admissions page for details. Creative Writing Track will be indicated on the transcripts of those students who successfully complete the requirements.
If you have any questions after perusing this site, contact the Creative Writing Track.
