Periods

All courses offered by the English Department are designated as belonging to one or more of the following three periods, except those courses listed as Special Topics 8:13, 8:29, 8:40, 8:41, 8:125, 8:126, 8:155, 8:156, 8:199. 

Some courses may, in particular semesters, be designated in a different period than their regular listing.  Those courses which will frequently vary are listed in red under all relevant categories. 

All English Majors must take at least two courses from each of the following three period groups:
