MLA Money Matters
Gayle writes to remind us. . .
For your reimbursements at the MLA, you must have a receipt from the MLA for your membership, or a confirmation. A cancelled check will not work. Please also insure you have a hotel portfolio printed out that is marked paid, with a zero balance. If you are driving, you will be reimbursed .26 a mile, plus parking if you have your receipt or it is charged in the hotel portfolio. Your per diem, or meals reimbursement is $40 per day - $8 for breakfast, $12 lunch and $25 dinner. We will bill off the standard, so you do not need to save receipts.
If you are flying ( some are flying from their holiday sites on the coasts), you will need to submit the hard copy receipt of the ticket (even if you used a trip number) with your travel voucher, and get a receipt for the hotel shuttle or transportation used to get to the convention site.
Please file a travel voucher with Amy as soon as possible upon your return to IC as we receive money from the CLA for a large portion of this. Good luck on the searches and travel safe!
Reading Matters Matters
See you next semester!
READING MATTERS will appear on the web and in your mailboxes each Wednesday (or as soon as possible thereafter!) as a combination of memos from the chair, announcements of upcoming meetings, and notices of speakers, conferences, and visitors of interest to the Department. To be included in READING MATTERS, announcements should be on Amy's desk or in her e-mail by Monday afternoon.
