The Bedell NonfictioNow Conference is a biennial gathering of 400 nonfiction writers, teachers, and students from around the world. Panels and readings highlight the myriad forms of nonfiction from the video essay, documentary, and radio essay to the memoir, lyric essay, and literary journalism. Former keynote speakers have included Phillip Lopate, Lauren Slater, and Pico Iyer. This year’s keynote speakers are Patricia Hampl, Ross McElwee, and Richard Rodriguez.

NonfictioNOW participants are eligible for special rates at both the Sheraton (downtown Iowa City) and the Heartland Inn (Coralville - short drive to campus).
Early registration fee, on or before Oct 1st, 2007
full registration $200.00, Panelists $100.00 and Students $75.00.
Late registration fee, after Oct 1st, 2007
full registration $225.00, Panelists $125.00 and Students $75.00
Panelists and full-paying conference attendees receive all meals with their conference registration. Students do NOT receive meals with their registration, but may purchase meal tickets in addition to your registration fee.
