Statement of Purpose (no more than 500 words) explaining your reasons for choosing this particular degree program. Copy and paste from a text processing file. Upload your Writing sample(s), which may represent any form of literary nonfiction, such as personal essays, cultural commentary, in-depth portraits, interviews, memoirs, and feature stories. Given the limited number of admissions available each year, we seek applicants with distinctive writing ability from a variety of backgrounds.

Samples should be double spaced; one inch margin; 20 to 30 pages; 10-12 font size; your name on every page. Your writing sample may consist of a single 20-30 page piece of writing, a collection of shorter pieces, or an excerpt from a longer piece.
