| | Alan Nagel Early Modern Literature Professor and former DEO of Cinema and Comparative Literature and Literature, Science, and the Arts. Alan's research focuses on humanism and poetics from Dante to Milton, literature and law, and Italian literature and culture. Publications on Italian humanists, Thomas More, Dante, Ronsard, Giuseppe Verga, narrative in literature and law, and renaissance poetics. He has published translations from Italian, French, and Latin.
